New Format KiB® 500 Hypothiocyanite Kit. Based upon one of nature’s own defence techniques.
KiB®500 is a lactoperoxidase system kit to make the active substance sodium hypothiocyanite. Available only on the recommendation of a qualified health care practitioner.
Should be stored in a cool, dark environment. Ideally refrigerate on receipt. It is not sent in a chilled or insulated package, and some time during transit at room temperature will do no harm.
Water, Bentonite, Polyaluminium Chloride, Lactoperoxidase (MILK), Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Rhodanide.
There are no known conditions that contraindicate the end-product. However, you should tell your practitioner if you are taking medications or supplements. KiB®500 can be used while pregnant or breast feeding.
The packaging says to refrigerate on arrival. It is not sent in a chilled or insulated package, and some time during transit at room temperature will do no harm. However, we sometimes get questions when it has not been stored in the fridge for a bit longer, either because of delay in the post, or not noticing the suggestion to refrigerate.
The suggestion to refrigerate is precautionary. It will be perfectly fine at room temperature up to the best before date and probably beyond. The reason for the refrigeration suggestion is that it should not be stored in a HOT place, such as next to an oven, radiator or on a window sill in full sun. But even then, it would take a considerable time (eg. 2 weeks) at 30 degrees centigrade to make a small difference on the shelf life.
A 'Best Before' date is not a 'Use-By' date. It will still be safe to use after that date; but it simply means that it may be less effective.
So in general, you should not worry about KiB 500 even if it has been out of the fridge for a long time!
