Jarrah honey is Australia’s dark and syrupy honey with a lovely caramel taste. It has a powerful antibacterial activity. More antioxidants than Manuka & low GI.
This honey is from the Eucalyptus Marginata, a species unique to a specific area of protected forest in Western Australia. The natural composition and high antimicrobial properties, measured by its TA (Total Activity), makes Jarrah a natural powerful healer which can inhibit bacterial growth, reduce infections and enhance healing.
Jarrah Honey it is not as sweet as other honeys due to its low glucose and high fructose levels but perfect to use as a natural sweetener to maintain a healthy lifestyle, boost your immune system and raise energy levels naturally.
The majestic Jarrah tree, which reaches over 40 metres high, can live for over 1000 years, but it only flowers once every 2 years which is why Jarrah honey is rare. I’ve been using this for over a year now, not only does it taste great neat off a spoon when you have a sore throat, it’s also perfect in hot drinks and on yoghurt and berries. Thanks for the review! We think it’s great too. But I would recommend letting hot drinks cool first to below 47 centigrade to avoid enzymes in the raw honey being destroyed. I think the active component, methylglyoxal, also degrades at higher temperatures, but more slowly.
