Hema-Plex Liquid is NaturesPlus’s mixed berry-flavoured liquid iron formula, developed for those who prefer a liquid to capsules or tablets. The iron is supplied as ferrous bisglycinate (Ferrochel®), a chelated form that is non-binding and better absorbed than many traditional iron salts. Each 10ml serving delivers 18mg of iron, equivalent to 129% of the Reference Intake.
Alongside the iron, each serving provides riboflavin, vitamin B6, folate as calcium L-methylfolate (the bioavailable form, useful for those with reduced ability to convert folic acid), vitamin B12 and biotin. The formula is rounded out with a 150mg whole-food and nutrient blend featuring amla, cherry, beetroot, strawberry, grape, blueberry, prune, raspberry, green tea and bilberry extracts.
The liquid is naturally sweetened with xylitol and stevia. The manufacturer states the product is appropriate for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Take 10ml daily using the included dosing cup, or as recommended by your practitioner. Shake well before use, and refrigerate after opening.
