Red Gum Honey is a wonderful honey, perfect as a natural sweetener and sugar substitute. The Red Gum tree produces a rich, golden honey with a mild and smooth flavour which is a little lighter than Jarrah honey. The other difference is that this is set honey, while Jarrah is runny.
Red Gum contains naturally occurring powerful antioxidants, flavonoids, known for their anti-inflammatory health benefits. The high antimicrobial properties makes it a natural powerful healer which can inhibit bacterial growth, reduce infections and enhance healing. The antimicrobial properties are measured by its TA (Total Activity).
Red Gum honey originates from the River Red Gum tree, Eucalyptus Camaldulensis. Flowering in late spring and early summer, the bees feed on the nectar from the delicate, creamy white flowers. As the flowering intensity is unpredictable from year to year Red Gum honey is considered rare.
Necta & Hive supply some of the best active healing honeys the world has to offer. The honey they source often comes from remote and protected locations where apiaries are kept away from chemicals and pests, so the honey you receive is as pure as it comes.
Necta & Hive honeys are extremely rare and have unique properties from lower glucose levels to anti-inflammatory properties. Although you can use the honey in food and drinks as you would other honeys as well.
All Necta & Hive honeys are independently tested by an accredited laboratory to determine Total Activity levels so you can be confident of the integrity, quality and traceability.
Suitable for pregnancy and breast feeding. Like all honey, please wait to give this to babies until they have reached one year.

Yes it is the most expensive honey I have ever bought. But it is also the most delicious.
